A few years back the RD&I team at Nouryon started a dedicated research program with the objective to bring a new, complementing group of Expancel products to the market that are built from bio-based materials.
"We have been investigating various aspects of bio-based materials and have today protypes of expandable microspheres that are based on cellulose," says Jennie Malker, R&D Director, Performance Chemicals.
With this complementing product portfolio, we believe that we will be able to leverage the vast experience we have gained over more than 30 years with our much appreciated Expancel products.
"We expect to find new fruitful collaborations in markets that have not yet discovered the multitude of advantages expandable microspheres bring to countless products as light weight filler or foaming agent," says Sylvia Winkel Pettersson, Director Sales & Marketing, Expancel.
